Colorado deputy killed on work anniversary
The fallen deputy, Micah Flick, 34, is survived by his wife and 7 year old twins. MT Monday near Galley Road and Murray Boulevard in the eastern part of the city as a motor vehicle theft investigation, and turned into a chase with shots being fired, injuring one bystander.
The injured officers names and conditions were not immediately released. Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper released a statement Monday evening urging citizens to “come together and say enough is enough.” He also offered gratitude to “each officer, every deputy” for their service. 24 and Douglas County sheriff Deputy Zackari Parrish was killed on New Year Eve.
Gumm, 31, was shot while chasing a suspect. Parrish, 29, was shot in suburban Denver by a man with a history of mental health issues.
